Arcade alternatives in 2026: 5 interactive demo tools compared
Compare five Arcade alternatives on free-tier publishing limits, per-seat pricing, redaction, and export—including Supademo, Storylane, Navattic, and Demonstratio.
Arcade is the polish benchmark in this category. Its walkthroughs look closer to a produced video than a screenshot deck, it captures from a desktop app and a Figma plugin as well as the browser, and the editor is genuinely pleasant to use. If the finished artefact is the thing your team is judged on, it earns its reputation.
The reason to look at an alternative is usually not “Arcade is bad.” It is one of four specific constraints: the free plan publishes one demo, redaction sits behind the paid tier, pricing is per seat, and AI credits are part of the plan whether or not you spend them.
The figures below were checked against vendor pricing pages in August 2026. Plans, usage limits, and annual-billing discounts change, so confirm on the linked vendor page before you buy.
Why teams look for an Arcade alternative
One published demo on the free plan
Arcade’s free tier gives you one published demo, one published video, one seat, 200 AI credits a month, and a watermark. You can edit up to three demos, but only one goes live.
That is enough to judge the editor. It is not enough to run a real evaluation, because a real evaluation is usually three assets at once: a tour embedded on a landing page, a leave-behind after a sales call, and an onboarding walkthrough. With one publish slot you test them in sequence, and most teams stop after the first.
Blur is a premium feature
This is the constraint that catches people out. Blur sits in Arcade’s premium set, alongside autoplay, pan and zoom, branching, CTAs, forms, and translations.
Product walkthroughs get recorded in a real account, and real accounts contain customer names, revenue figures, and a colleague’s email address in the corner of a screen. If you cannot redact those, the free plan cannot produce a shareable recording of your actual product — only of a scrubbed test account you first have to build. Budget the upgrade, or plan the recording so sensitive data never appears.
Per-seat pricing, and a cliff at ten
Growth is $50 per seat per month, or $42.50 on annual billing, with up to ten seats included. Three creators is $127.50 a month — $1,530 a year, the highest three-person total in the category.
Past ten seats, additional seats are $150 a month each. That is the point where demo creation centralises: the person who knows the workflow asks the person with the licence to record it, and the demo does not get made.
Credits you may not spend
AI credits scale with the plan — 200 a month on free, 800 on Growth, 100,000 a year on Enterprise. If you publish AI voiceover and translations, that is a fair and predictable way to buy them. If you do not, the allowance is still in the price.
Export is on the paid tier
MP4 and GIF export are Growth features. If the deliverable is a file to drop into a deck or a Slack message rather than a hosted link, that decides your plan before any other feature does.
Five Arcade alternatives
1. Supademo: best for evaluating several demos at once
Supademo is the direct answer to the one-publish-slot problem.
- Free: 5 guided interactive demos, 50 video recordings, 1 creator, unlimited views
- Paid entry: Scale at $50/month per creator, or $38/month on annual billing
- Three creators: $114/month on annual billing
Why choose it instead. Five published demos and unlimited views means you can put a real sales demo, a real help-centre walkthrough, and a real onboarding tour in front of real people before you spend anything. It also handles video recordings alongside guided demos, which covers part of what Arcade’s video capture is for.
Choose Arcade instead if the visual finish is the point, or if you capture outside the browser — Supademo has no desktop app or Figma plugin.
2. Storylane: best for a B2B demand-generation motion
Storylane is the closer comparison when the demo feeds a pipeline rather than a help page.
- Free: 1 published demo, 1 seat
- Paid entry: Starter at $50/month, or $40 on annual billing, flat with extra seats at $40
- Three creators: $120/month on annual billing
Why choose it instead. Personalization tokens, account reveal, and the surrounding GTM tooling are built for outbound teams, and the flat Starter plan with priced add-on seats is slightly friendlier than strict per-seat billing at three people.
Watch for. Starter is $40 a month and the next tier is $500, with nothing in between. Personalization, the HTML editor, multi-team support, and A/B testing all live on the far side of that gap. Check which of them you need before building a process on Starter.
3. Navattic: best for an enterprise marketing tour program
Navattic is worth a conversation when embedded tours are part of a web conversion program rather than a single asset.
- Free: A free plan is available
- Paid entry: Contact Navattic for a current price
- Team cost: Not publicly listed in a comparable form
Why choose it instead. It is built around interactive demos as a marketing surface, where the tour, the page it sits on, and the campaign around it are one program.
Watch for. Without a public price, this is not a like-for-like swap you can decide from a comparison table. Get a quote and scope the implementation work before treating it as a price-led choice.
4. Demonstratio: a browser-first option to watch
Demonstratio is in development. We are building it for teams that want to capture a browser workflow, turn it into a focused clickable walkthrough, redact what should not be public, and share it without operating a demo platform.
- Free tier: Planned, with more than one publishable demo, and blur and redact included
- Pricing: Not launched; exact pricing is not available
- Team cost: Planned flat plans, not a published commitment
Why choose it instead. The three Arcade constraints above are the ones we are designing around: privacy tools are core editor tools rather than a plan feature, MP4 export at 720p or 1080p is part of the product rather than an upgrade, and there are no AI features and so no credits to manage. Captured steps keep the real screen, so changing a label or a number later is an edit, not a re-recording.
Why include an unlaunched product? Because it would be worse to leave it out of our own roundup than to be plain about it. It is not something you can switch to this week. If you need to send a demo now, use Supademo, Storylane, Navattic, or Arcade itself. If the browser-first, flat-pricing approach is what you have been looking for, join the waitlist.
5. Scribe or Tango: best when the deliverable is not a demo
Scribe and Tango turn a captured workflow into a written, screenshot-led guide instead of a clickable tour.
- Scribe free: Unlimited seats and unlimited web capture; redaction is paid
- Scribe Pro Team: $17/seat/month, or $13 annually, with a five-seat minimum
- Tango free: 5 shared workflows, up to 10 users per workspace
- Tango Pro: $20/user/month, or $15 at 3+ users — $45/month for three on annual billing
Why choose them instead. Someone following a procedure for the fourth time wants to scan to step 7, not click through a tour. If your Arcade demos are mostly internal SOPs and support answers, you are paying demo-platform prices for documentation.
Choose Arcade instead when the viewer is a buyer exploring your product rather than a user completing a task. Interactive demo, video, or GIF? walks through picking the format first.

Recommendation guide
- Keep Arcade if visual finish, desktop or Figma capture, GIF export, or branching are requirements rather than nice-to-haves — and if a per-seat bill stays sensible at your team size.
- Try Supademo if the one-demo free plan is what stopped you, and you want several live walkthroughs without a purchase decision first.
- Evaluate Storylane if the demo is part of an outbound motion, but read the $500 tier before committing to Starter.
- Talk to Navattic if tours are a marketing program with someone accountable for the numbers.
- Use Scribe or Tango if most of what you are recording is a procedure, not a pitch.
- Watch Demonstratio if privacy controls, browser-first capture, and flat pricing are the trade-offs you want — without delaying work that needs a tool today.
